The Virgin Queen is located on the delightful Goldsmiths Row in the middle of one of the most dynamic parts of Hackney between Broadway Market and Columbia Road Flower Market. Extensively fitted out with striking reclaimed carved wooden panels, bar and furnishings which have earned the refurbishment mentions in “best pubs in London” guides. The open kitchen in the rear room specialises in seafood, which of course includes classic freshly battered and fried to order fish and chips and happy to now also be serving delicious Sunday roasts. The superb food and extensive drink offerings can be enjoyed in the cosy bar by the open fire or out in the conservatory that opens up during the summer months.
